Welcome to Physics with Mr. Schildknecht

Welcome to all who enter here, especially my students. You are free to use this class website as you wish. I teach one section of Regents Physics and AP Physics, and two sections of Forensic  Science. Some years I teach Syracuse University Project Advance Forensics.

This is my first website. It was started in August 2005.

The Goals of My Site...

  • Prompt you to think about an upcoming lesson and  answer a few simple web-based questions prior to coming to class
  • Motivate you with short essays on practical, everyday applications of the course subject matter, peppered with URLs to interesting material on the web.
  • Challenge you to solve animated simulations or web-based problems, called "physlets"
  • Streamline communication with you and your parents.

References/Resources...

Warm Ups, Good For, and Puzzle pages use web-based educational strategies designed by Just In Time Teaching

WebQuest: Why should you bother taking high school physics? on the Students Page uses WebQuest concepts generated by teachers Bernie Dodge and Rich Werner .

Puzzles page will eventually contain short problems based upon ideas, codes and resources for making and using "Physlets"
