Why? Why? Why?

Hundreds of times you have probably asked yourself, "Why do I have to study this subject? This question comes and goes the same way-- you feel that you have no control--you were basically told that you had to take physics.  You even wonder, if you were given the choice of whether or not to take physics,  would you have signed up for this class. And then it comes, you ask yourself this question, "What I want to know is why is physics apparently so worthwhile that "I" have to take it?!"

Often you probably don't take the time or you just don't have the time to answer questions like that. Life is just too demanding to allow for those little luxuries. This quest was meant to afford you the time to step back and take a look at why physics is a subject worth your time and effort. Hopefully you will have walked away from this quest, beginning the new school year, somewhat mindful of the fact that there are "relevant reasons" to take physics other than just the unexciting one, that it looks good for college.
